We walk through woods, along grassy ridges, on moorland tracks with great views, through an old deer park to Wortley village and Hall Garden before joining the disused Woodhead railway line.

Walk length: 10 miles (16.5km)

Start: Lowood Club, Station Road, Deepcar, S36 2SQ
Finish: at start

Travel: Tram to Middlewood then SL1 bus to Deepcar or 10.02 bus 57 from Pond Street Interchange. Walk down Wortley Road from traffic lights and turn right on Station Road, over river past club to second signed path on left

Parking: On Station Road at start

Terrain: Moderate hills and some stiles
