The Great Sheffield Deer Park Boundary Walk

About

A historical exploration of the largest private Deer Park in England, using ancient footpaths that defined the boundary wall, part of which can still be seen, in the knowledgeable company of a renowned Elizabethan Historian and author. Maps relating to the walk will be on sale and there is a café and toilets en route.

Walk length: 5 miles (8km)

Start: Lidl Supermarket, Castlebeck Avenue, S2 1DS
Finish: Moorhead, Eyre Street, Sheffield S1 4QY

Travel: 24 bus from AG3 on Arundel Gate at 10:02

Parking: First left after Lidl Supermarket on Saxonlea Drive (requires bus back to car)

Terrain: Hilly to start with (less than a mile), before levelling off and then mostly downhill.

Parking: First left after Lidl Supermarket on Saxonlea Drive, which leads direct on to the side of the recreation ground - easy street parking there at no charge.
