Sheffield’s Lakeland and Glorious Western Edge


While walking some of Sheffield's wonderful moorland we visit Redmires Reservoirs, the iconic Stanage Edge, a hillfort and an old turnpike road. The walk finishes down the Porter Valley with the chance of refreshments near the end.

Walk length: 12 miles (19km)

Start: Junction of Moorcroft Road and Brooklands Avenue,S10 4GH
Finish: Fulwood shops, Brooklands Avenue

Travel: Meet leader at Fargate/Leopold Street junction at 09.30 for 83a bus at approx 9.37

Parking: Free parking near start - short walk back at end
