Sheffield Waterfront Bicentenary Festival 2019

About

Come and celebrate the Sheffield & Tinsley Canal's 200th birthday with us.

We will transform Victoria Quays into a festival of activity, entertainment and stalls. Also, for the first time, we welcome the Exchange Street Collective who will be hosting a free, open-door, inclusive daytime street party celebrating the revival of Exchange Street as a creative space. In Victoria Quays there will be free boat trips from 10am throughout the day and you can also try taster canoe or paddle boarding sessions.

There will be a free climbing wall, mobile caving, circus skills workshops, historical bus tours, time travelling, crafts, live music and stalls from local businesses and charities. On Exchange Street, from 2pm until 10pm, get involved in a free community street party to celebrate the culture and diversity of Castlegate and the surrounding areas featuring live music and DJs, local food vendors, retail stalls, live art and spoken word poetry. Guaranteed fun for all the family

To get here, the nearest tram stop is Ponds Forge and there is also parking at Victoria Quays, North Quay Drive, Sheffield, S4 7SW.

Please note that while the festival will end at 4pm in Victoria Quays there are further celebrations in the Dorethy Pax Pub on Victoria Quays and on Exchange Street until late.
