Peak to Park: Padley to Endcliffe


Join the National Park Rangers for a linear rural to urban odyssey, exploring the wonderful Sheffield Moors, Padley Gorge and Porter Valley. Come and appreciate this diverse landscape, and learn more about its archaeology, history and wildlife, and its management under the Sheffield Moors Partnership. Optional drink at the Lescar pub on Sharrowvale Rd at the end.

Walk length:  8 miles (13km)

Start: Grindleford Station Café, S32 2JA
Finish: Endcliffe Park

Travel: 10:14 train to Grindleford or 65 bus at 09:25 from D2 at Sheffield Interchange

Terrain: Footpaths and tracks with some ascents and descents on hilly uneven ground

Led by: Tom Lewis, Outreach Ranger, Peak District National Park Authority
