Back for a sixth year, popular cycling event Bradfield Hill Climb returns for another summer evening of friendly competition.
One of the city's most challenging but fun hill climb events, Bradfield Hill Climb will once again see the best local riders test themselves against the clock on the notorious Côte de Woodfall Lane, starting at Low Bradfield and finishing at the Old Horns Pub, High Bradfield.
A legacy event of the 2014 Yorkshire Grand Depart of the Tour De France, the event has taken place every year since the peloton originally came racing into the city and aims to recreate some of the amazing spirit and atmosphere.
The event takes place on a closed road and offers fantastic prizes for all the rider categories. There's a small fee for riders taking part, but the event is completely FREE for spectators.
Handy for spectator refreshments, the Old Horns Inn will double as the Race HQ, complete with amazing views across the reservoirs, to Strines Moor and the back of Derwent Edge. Racing starts from 7.30pm.
Small entry fee for riders, FREE for spectators.
