About

The Brewery of Saint Mars of the Desert is a small craft brewery and taproom loctated dep in the heart of Attercliffe. They are dog and kid friendly. They list their opening hours on their Instagram page; so check before you set out!

At the taproom you can buy a beer, tour the brewery, hang out, and buy bottles and kegs for home.  Also please wrap up warm on colder days as they are not well heated.

Martha & Dann brew all their beers in a 1,000 litre infusion brewhouse manufactured by Moeschle UK.  They have a gas fired kettle and a koelschip that they are using primarily for “koel-hopping”. Their 2,000 litre fermentation vessels are rated to 3 bar and are equipped with Handtmann “spunding” valves which enable them to carbonate their beers using the CO2 produced during primary fermentation – this locks in precious volatile characteristics and activates a creamy body in the final product. They also have a 1,000 litre reconditioned oak foeder to ferment and age with as well
